Crafts4Change recently completed its latest project, a "Box of Inspiration." Throughout several weeks of fall 2011 we worked to make origami boxes and hundreds of mini paper stars. We then filled the boxes with stars and added encouraging messages and hearts--making boxes of inspiration!
In December, we donated over 50 boxes to the Pediatrics Unit at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, Maryland. Holy Cross's Pediatrics Center has 26 beds and accomodates inpatients, ambulatory surgery patients, and short-stay patients with a variety of conditions, from newborns to adolescents. Holy Cross strives to provide a caring environment for the children it treats, including a separate playroom and treatment room to alleviate the stress of a hospital stay. We hope our donation will contribute to this encouraging environment and brighten the stays of the children there. We will continue to update you on our upcoming projects.
