Just in time for Valentine's Day, Crafts4Change completed it's latest project, creating candy-filled heart pouches to donate to Stepping Stones shelter in Rockville, Maryland.
Stepping Stones shelter has provided support for homeless families with children since 1979. Stepping Stones provides a safe shelter and support for families in crisis. It then works to help them come up with housing and employment solutions and transition to a stable home environment. In 2011, Stepping Stones served 33 families and 110 individuals, almost half of whom were children under 4. Stepping Stones also works with Hope Housing Program to provide permanent housing for families with disabled heads of household.
At Crafts4Change, we made over 100 woven heart pockets and filled them with candy for the families and children at Stepping Stones. We hope our donation provided cheer, support and a sweet treat to families during the Valentine's Day holiday.
Look out for more updates on Crafts4Change's projects and SNSD merchandise! Thank you as always for supporting our mission of change through creativity!
